At only 7 km from Radstadt you'll find the typical Austrian village of Forstau at a healthy altitude of 1,100 m. This farmhouse is located in a wonderful sunny spot; the owner has created a new apartment on the first floor. (Ready in July 2018). The furnishings are high-quality with lots of wood, creating a pleasant atmosphere. There are three bedrooms and a very spacious living room with open kitchen; there's enough space for a group of 6 people. There are many animals living on and around the farm, like cows, calves, chickens, dear, pony's and rabbits. The owner himself lives on the ground floor, but you'll have complete privacy and the first floor can be reached via your own staircase. You'll also have a large balcony on the south side and there's a large garden surrounding the house, where the children can play. Forstau is centrally located between the skiing areas of Schladming (15 minutes) and Flachau (20 minutes) and offers a perfect, small skiing area for families and beginning skiers with its Fageralm bergbahn. This lift is also open during the summer for a walk in the beautiful nature; the owner also offers the possibility to lead you through the mountains as a guide. It's a perfect location for families who want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and who like to have the choice from various skiing areas in the winter.
